We are currently experiencing water outages in Salem due to loss of power.
PGE has not provided an estimate on when power services will return. Once full service is back we'll be able to provide water again.
Customers in the Helton Water system: BOIL WATER NOTICE
Despite the lack of power in the Helton system, we are doing our best to pump water. Due to the extended loss of water pressure, we cannot verify the safety of drinking the water without boiling it first. We will have a generator in place tomorrow morning by 10AM in order to pump water into the system.
Customers in the Illahe Water system: PLEASE CONSERVE WATER
We currently have Hiland staff on site to connect a permanent back up gas powered generator to power the system. We still do not have power at our pumphouse. Areas of Illahe that are at higher elevations will experience lower pressure due to power limitations. Please be patient as we continue to restore water services to our system despite the lack of power.
