The well is Westwood Village Water System continues to struggle to meet the water demand of the community. The well has been running non-stop for several days and the distribution system has been investigated multiple times in an effort to find leaks. One small leak was found and repaired, but the improvement hasn't been enough to reduce demand to a sustainable level. Hiland has hired a well driller to come and clean out the well. Historically, this procedure has increased the production of the well and we are hopeful it will do so again. In the meantime, we are asking customers at Westwood Village to conserve water and only use it for necessary domestic purposes, not for irrigation. Hiland will update everyone in the community with the results of the well work once it is complete in hopes that irrigation can resume. Thank you for your understanding.

We received word from the Oregon Drinking Water Program today confirming that the water being supplied to the Helton Tracts community is safe to drink without boiling first. Our office staff will be reaching out to each account holder individually, but thank you for your patience throughout this process. The work to permanently re-develop the well site is not complete, but this is a big step in the right direction.
